Game Save

iCafeMenu Game Save Function

The game save function of iCafeMenu server enables you to save the progress of all the games, and you can keep playing after you log in next time, please follow the instructions as below:

1)  Open the main interface of iCafeMenu and double click the game in the details pane that you want save. Here we take the game "Angry Birds" for example (Figure 1-1).

2) Type the game data path suffixing with "*.*" into the "Game Save" edit box in the pop-up "Edit Game" dialog box, and press the "Save to Local" button (Figure 1-2). 

For example:

The Angry Birds data path is "D:\Users\user005\AppData\Roaming\Rovio\Angry Birds", and then input the text "%APPDATA%\Rovio\Angry Birds\*.*" into the "Game Save" edit box.

Note: Normally the game data is saved under the APPDATA directory, you can search "%APPDATA%" in the "Start" menu, find the game data folder by the game publisher's name.

Save Game

1) Re-launch iCafeMenu client, play the game (Angry Birds) and quit.

2) Right click the game icon (Angry Birds) and select the "Save Game Data..." (Figure 1-3).

3) Click the "Sign up" button to create an account for saving games in the pop-up "Login" dialog box (Figure 1-4). (Note: If you already have an account, you can skip step 3-5 and go to step 6.)

4) Edit your username & password in the pop-up "Create Account" dialog box, please keep your account information in mind, and press "OK" (Figure 1-5).

5) Click the "OK" button in the pop-up the "Account is created" dialog box (Figure 1-6).

6) Input your created account's user name & password in the pop-up the "Login" dialog box and press the "Login" button (Figure 1-7).

7) Pop-up the "Save game data succeed" dialog box which means the game saving function enabled successfully, and press the "OK" button (Figure 1-8).

Load Game

1) Right click the game that you played before on iCafeMenu client and select the "Load Game Data..." (Figure 1-9).

2) Input your account username & password in the pop-up the "Login" dialog box and press the "Login" button (Figure 1-10).

3) Pop-up the "Load game data succeed" dialog box, press the "OK" button( Figure 1-11).

4）Now, double click the game and keep playing.

Test Game Save

1) Run the game (e.g. Angry Birds) on iCafeMenu client, suppose you play to level 3 (Figure 1-12).

2) Save game, please refer to step 1-7 of Save Game part as mentioned above.

3) Open the game data folder, (Angry Birds, D:\Users\user005\AppData\Roaming\Rovio\Angry Birds), delete these two data files (Figure 1-13).

3) Run the game in iCafeMenu client, you can find that there's no game progress (Figure 1-14).

4) Load game, please refer to step 1-4 of Load Game part as mentioned above.

5) Run the game and you can find the game progress is the same with your saved before (Figure 1-15).
